Inside the museum

Music boxes, organs and daily concerts

Concerts included in admission1

The Music Forest Museum sits on the lake shore, with views of Mt Fuji1 across the water. Lake Kawaguchi belongs to the Fuji Five Lakes and lies in the town of Fujikawaguchiko9, on the north side of Mount Fuji8.

What you come here for:

  • Music boxes once loved by European aristocrats1
  • Performances on rare music boxes and automatic musical instruments10, plus music shows and events
  • What the Yamanashi tourism site calls the world’s largest dance organ, and an orchestrion meant for the Titanic2

Live concerts are held every day2, including opera with automatic instruments and sand-art concerts. All concerts are included in the admission fee1, so sitting in on one costs you nothing extra.
