The warship boat

Appare: the boat and the ride

A loop takes about 20 minutes2

Appare is a sightseeing boat modelled on the atakebune warship of Takeda Shingen’s navy2. Most people come to Lake Kawaguchi for views of Mount Fuji5, and the boat gives you them from the water.

Fujigoko Kisen, which runs the boat, recommends the second floor on sunny days, for Mt Fuji and a 360-degree panorama3.

Rather paddle than sit on a deck? The Coffee on a Kayak with Mt. Fuji tour puts you on Lake Kawaguchi in a kayak instead.
